1) Paso de los Libres - Uruguayana - São Gabriel (usually sleeping here by the distance traveled and depending on your point of departure. If from Buenos Aires for example) - Porto Alegre - Florianópolis - Bombinhas
2) Another option: Columbus - Paysandu - Rivera - Santana do Livramento - São Gabriel - Porto Alegre - Florianópolis - Bombinhas
3) A third and less common: Santo Tomé - São Borja - São Luis Gonzaga - Ijui - Passo Fundo - Vacaria - Lages - Bon Retiro - Florianópolis - Bombinhas. Advantages: little-traveled route for trucks and buses. It has a 80 km stretch of road between the hills.
